Director & VP Readiness

Who this is for

Private coaching for senior leaders preparing to take on Director or VP level scope.

You may already be strong in your current role. The challenge is that the next level usually requires a different way of operating: less personal execution, more leverage, broader judgment, stronger stakeholder leadership, and clearer strategic ownership.

This program is designed for leaders making transitions such as:

  • Senior Manager → Director

  • Director → VP

  • Senior IC → broader organizational leadership

My approach

1. Readiness Diagnostic
We figure out what actually needs to change for you to operate at the next level. That starts with the expectations of the role you want, the feedback you’re already getting, how you spend your time, and where your current operating model may not scale.

Director examples: moving out of the weeds, thinking more strategically, delegating more effectively, leading beyond your own team.
VP examples: shaping direction across a larger organization, managing through leaders, making higher-stakes tradeoffs, and operating with broader enterprise context.

Outcome: You know the few shifts that will matter most.

2. Strategic Leadership
We work on how you set direction, make decisions, and spend your time at the next level.

Director examples: prioritizing across a broader scope, connecting work to business outcomes, making better tradeoffs, and showing stronger judgment with senior stakeholders.
VP examples: setting strategy across multiple teams or functions, making resource and organizational tradeoffs, balancing near-term execution with longer-term direction, and influencing decisions beyond your direct authority.

Outcome: You operate at the right altitude for the scope you’re trying to take on.

3. Leverage Through Others
We make sure your impact is not dependent on you personally driving everything.

Director examples: delegating real ownership, building accountability, developing stronger managers or leads, and creating clearer decision rights.
VP examples: leading through Directors, strengthening the leadership bench, designing the right operating cadence, and making sure the organization can move without you becoming the bottleneck.

Outcome: Your impact scales through the organization, not just through your own execution.

4. Apply It in the Real Work
We use your actual work as the practice ground throughout the program. We work through the meetings, decisions, stakeholder situations, strategy work, and leadership moments where next-level behavior needs to show up.

Director examples: a strategy review, a difficult cross-functional relationship, a delegation problem, or a promotion case.
VP examples: an org design decision, an executive team discussion, a major prioritization tradeoff, or a high-stakes stakeholder situation.

Outcome: The change shows up in how you lead day to day, not just in what you understand.

  • Stronger strategic judgment and better prioritization

  • More leverage through delegation and leadership through others

  • Greater influence across teams, functions, and senior stakeholders

  • A clearer operating model for the scope you are taking on
