Executive Presence

Who this is for

Experienced leaders who have received feedback about executive presence or how they show up under pressure.

Often this comes up when someone is operating in high-stakes rooms where they need to:

  • defend promotions

  • explain resource allocation

  • pitch strategy

  • present to executives or SVP+ leaders

At that level, how you respond to challenge matters as much as what you say.

What I See

Many highly capable leaders lose executive presence under pressure.

At director+, reaction is usually subtle:

  • speaking faster

  • tightening their tone

  • losing concision

  • deflating or disengaging

People notice. At senior levels, executives are not just evaluating your ideas. They are evaluating whether they can trust you in the room. If someone is reactive, they are rarely put in front of the SVP, CEO, board, or other high-visibility stakeholders.

My Approach

Most executive presence work focuses on delivery. My approach goes deeper.

We react when we feel threatened. The work starts by identifying where someone gets triggered and building steadiness there first.

From there we focus on communication:

  • responding clearly under pressure

  • maintaining authority when challenged

  • staying concise when conversations turn sharp

We do not just talk about these moments. We practice them. I put clients under structured pressure so respond with composure automatically in the real moment.

Outcome

Clients leave with:

  • stronger control when triggered

  • clearer, authoritative communication

  • greater confidence in key moments
